Inception of Tulsa Tomorrow: A Vision for a Vibrant Community

Tulsa Tomorrow began in 2017 with a simple but powerful idea: to help revitalize and strengthen Tulsa’s Jewish community. It started with a group of passionate community members who saw an opportunity to bring new energy, people, and ideas to the city.

At its core, Tulsa Tomorrow is made up of dedicated individuals who care deeply about Tulsa and its future. Many are longtime residents who believe in the power of connection and community and share a vision for a more vibrant and welcoming Jewish life here.

The founding members set out to create something forward-thinking, an effort rooted in inclusivity, collaboration, and a desire to see Tulsa grow. They recognized that to keep the community strong, it needed to attract and engage new generations while honoring the traditions that make it special.

What started as a small idea quickly became an ongoing mission. Tulsa Tomorrow has grown into a driving force for strengthening connections, supporting new residents, and shaping opportunities for growth.

Today, Tulsa Tomorrow stands as proof of what can happen when people come together with a shared purpose. We’re proud of how far we’ve come and excited for what’s ahead. Our commitment to building a thriving, welcoming Tulsa remains as strong as ever.

Tulsa Tomorrow: Partnering with Tulsa Community Foundation

Tulsa Tomorrow is proud to partner with the Tulsa Community Foundation (TCF), a trusted leader in helping people and organizations make a difference through charitable giving. TCF supports nonprofits, families, businesses, and individuals in achieving their philanthropic goals through a variety of giving options.

With more than 1,500 funds, ranging from small contributions to multimillion-dollar endowments, TCF provides flexible ways for donors to give back in meaningful and lasting ways. Each fund reflects the unique goals and values of the people behind it, which is what makes TCF’s work so impactful across our community.

As a fiscally sponsored program of TCF, Tulsa Tomorrow benefits from this strong foundation of generosity. Their support allows us to stay focused on building community and creating opportunities while relying on TCF’s expertise in managing charitable resources. Together, we’re working to strengthen Tulsa and make a lasting difference for those who call it home.

By Michael Overall, Oct 20, 2019

Tulsa Tomorrow is a program aiming to attract young professionals back to Tulsa, Oklahoma. It initially started with the goal of reversing a decline in the city's Jewish population but expanded to target all young professionals. The project, led by David Finer, CEO of Fabricut, a major fabric wholesaler, is especially focused on bringing back individuals in their 20s who grew up in Tulsa but moved away after college. The program organizes weekend tours of the city, showcasing its revitalized downtown, as well as attractions like Gathering Place, Mother Road Market, and Guthrie Green. It aims to expose young people to the city's positive aspects in the hope of convincing them to return.
